Hell Let Loose is a battle game between two teams, featuring the German Afrika Korps and British Eighth Army subfractions as one team, or Germans, Soviets, British, and Americans as another team. The key feature of each team in the game is that it includes multiple smaller rifle squads of six soldiers, a recon squad of two soldiers, and armored squads of three tank crewmen. Similarly, each team contains fifty players and a total hundred players in both teams.

Control Skirmish, Warfare, and Offensive are the three game modes included in Hell Let Loose. In all three game modes, the map is categorized into a sector, and each team needs to control and capture it. 

  • Control Skirmish Mode: Before the timer runs out, both teams need to handle one center objective.
  • Offensive Mode: In this mode, one team fights against the other around various stages, and the fighting team has thirty minutes to capture each strong point. When it is successful, the timer resets to thirty minutes for the next objective.
  • Warfare Mode: Teams need to control all 5 factors or control the most players before the timer runs out to win the game.
