Nintendo Switch 2 Still Unavailable on Amazon Because of Third-Party Sellers, Says Reports

Nintendo, A Japanese multinational video game company, pulled its products from Amazon in the U.S. due to unauthorized sales. However, both Amazon and Nintendo have denied the reports.

According to Bloomberg, the third-party merchants selling the same products of Nintendo in the U.S for cheaper rates, which is less than the advertised rates of the company.  As a result, the firm refused to launch its Switch 2 on Amazon last month.

Nintendo Switch 2 is one of the largest game consoles developed by the company, and it sold about 3.5 million units within four days following its debut in June.

The key features of Nintendo Switch 2 are greater, a vivid screen, which is essential for the full 1080p HD display.  Its screen has about 120 Hz refresh rates with HDR support and improved brightness. The storage capacity of Switch 2 is 256 GB, which offers more storage space for games and other content. The redesigned Joy-Cons feature a magnetic link for easier connection, and it has also doubled as mice for potentially in-game aiming and enhanced navigation.

The main reason for the current lack of Nintendo products on Amazon is that the third-party sellers were purchasing the company’s products in large quantities from Southeast Asia at a lower cost and reselling the same products at lower prices in the U.S through Amazon. This

Negatively impact the productivity and profitability of Nintendo.

The list of Nintendo Switch 2 and other products is slowly disappearing from the US site of Amazon due to the disagreement over unauthorized sales, according to the latest report from Bloomberg.

Over the past year, Nintendo games have been almost absent from the Amazon website, according to reports by IGN.

Amazon and Nintendo Denied the Report

Nintendo and Amazon denied reports by Bloomberg about refusing products on their sites.

According to Amazon, the claims of Bloomberg regarding the relationship with Nintendo are inaccurate. Amazon provided the same response when Engadget asked about the report by Bloomberg.

The company is pleased to provide the products of Nintendo directly to the customers as part of its commitment to offering a seamless shopping experience with a huge collection of products, an Amazon spokesperson said.

It is very difficult to talk exactly what is happening between Amazon and Nintendo, but both organizations have responded that there is no conflict between them.

Nintendo and Amazon have no issues, and the organization does not wish to disclose the explanation of contracts or negotiations with retailers, according to a Nintendo spokesperson.

When the Nintendo Switch 2 was introduced on June 5, customers were only able to order the product from Best Buy, Walmart, Target, and Nintendo itself.

According to the report notes, Nintendo Switch 2 is still not available on the Amazon website US, but customers in Canada and the UK can buy this product via Amazon.com.

However, Amazon currently lists the pre-order of Donkey Kong Bananza, a Switch 2 title game, through its site, and the game will be available for customers on July 17.
